Le Blanc Los Cabo

For us, coming from the east coast we were asking ourselves, “Is it worth flying across the country to arrive at Le Blanc in Los Cabos, Mexico? The quick answer is a resounding yes, but here’s why.

Upon arrival, Los Cabos is a smaller airport to navigate. Once you collect your luggage and clear customs you enter the sea of transfer companies outside the airport. When you find your designated transfer company it’s an easy 30-minute highway drive to the hotel.

98 percent of the rooms at Le Blanc Los Cabos are oceanfront and every room has a spacious balcony with comfortable chairs. Some room amenities of note are a liquor dispenser in your room, a bottle of wine upon arrival, and Bvlgari bath amenities which always smell incredible! Luxurious bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer and ladies: a flat iron! There is a pedestal tub with a rain shower, Apple TV, mini bar with lots of snacks refilled every day and a Lavazza coffee maker. The final touch for the room amenities is a lovely Le Blanc waterproof beach bag that was the perfect size for our beach essentials each day.

Some resort services are part of their concierge service program. Our concierge, Carlos was fabulous, bringing us handmade soaps (many to choose from – we picked cucumber mint). There’s also a personal aromatherapy menu which we chose vanilla and sandalwood. Like many other all-inclusive resorts, Le Blanc Los Cabos has 24-hour room service, something we personally never indulge in, but I can imagine a romantic breakfast in bed or dinner out on your balcony at Le Blanc would be absolutely delightful. Of course, complimentary WiFi, and given we’re working on a number of destination weddings, honeymoons, and family vacations right now, we needed strong WiFi throughout the resort.

To avoid a snow storm and cancelled flights we left Philadelphia day earlier than planned, which meant more time at Le Blanc. Because of the early departure, I had to miss my mani and pedi appointment. What that meant was an immediate visit to the spa. Upon entry to the spa I was handed a delicious cucumber, basil, and ginger drink. The next day, I was back at the spa for hydrotherapy and a couple’s massage. The hydrotherapy consists of hot and cold plunge pools, hot tub, pressure showers, and a relaxation area The sauna and steam room were in perfect working order and the ice room was a nice experience. ¬I asked the silly question, “what I shall do with the ice once done?” Of course, after the herbal steam room, as ¬¬you rub the ice on your skin it immediately melts! Well ¬¬¬worth the hour experience to relax and indulge.

The best part of any Palace Resort, which Le Blanc is part of, is that each room receives up to $1,500 in resort credits. The credits are based upon your length of stay. The credits can be used at the spa, tours, salon, dolphin swim experience, special dinners vacation memories or wedding collections.

Speaking of weddings, this resort has a magnificent marble wedding arch that overlooks the vast ocean. The space was created with brides in mind and is simply gorgeous. Imagine walking to your beloved in the beautiful surroundings of mountains, desert and ocean. Not to mention in Los Cabos there’s no humidity, promoting a great hair day on your special day!
Finally, lets chat about the food. It’s always a highlight while eating my made-to-order omelet in the morning at the International Buffet discussing where we should eat dinner! You have many options for dinner, such as Lumiere (French), Blanc Pizza (brick oven pizza), Blanc Italian, Blanc Asia, Blanc Ocean, and Mezze for Lebanese fare.

At the Italian restaurant, the homemade pastas were delicious, especially the lobster tortellini. The sushi at Blanc Asia was fresh with perfect cuts of sashimi, and the Lebanese restaurant had delicious hummus and kibbeh (lamb meatballs). Blanc Ocean was a lunch favorite where I loved the Fish tacos, flank steak tacos, calamari, and lobster ceviche.

From all this delicious food every morning, I knew I had to hit the gym. Pilates at 8am and other classes throughout the day are available. They have brand new equipment and plenty of tread mills, bikes, and elliptical machines.

Overall, Le Blanc Los Cabos is special, gorgeous facility with friendly and accommodating staff, delicious food, organic drinks and surrounded by natural beauty. If you are ready for a romantic, relaxing and enjoyable vacation this is the ideal destination for your next trip.
