Hot Honeymoon Tips: Stay Secure on Your Trip

While all couples look forward to their honeymoon as a time of romance, relaxation and an escape from the every day cares and worries of their normal lives, it still makes sense to stay in touch with loved ones back home, and to take a few other precautions to make your trip a safe and secure one. Here are some honeymoon tips on how to do just that:

1. Itinerary Play it safe and give a copy of your travel itinerary to a family member or close friend. This should have the phone number of your hotel and your email addresses. It’s also not a bad idea to put your name and address on another copy of your itinerary and keep it in your suitcase. We don’t like to think of bad things happening, but it’s better to anticipate that they might, rather than leave your fate to chance. You just never know in this world!

2. Insurance Another one of our honeymoon tips is that if you can afford it, you might want to think about buying trip insurance. This is a great way to cover the cost of lost baggage, should there be any delays due to weather, or any other unexpected events. Again, you like to assume that your honeymoon is going to go off without a hitch, and maybe it will, but you can never know for sure, so it’s better to be safe than sorry.

3. Carry On Buy one and use it. You should take a carry on with you when you are going on a trip and store all jewelry and valuables, along with any medications you need in that, rather than in your suitcase. You should really ever place these items in your suitcase. If your suitcase is lost or stolen, then they are gone for good, but not if you have them safely in your carry on.
