Trip Recap: Iberostar Grand Rose Hall

Editor’s Note: This blog is part of a series based on a recent trip to Jamaica where we toured various resorts to offer you the best all-inclusive properties in Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.

We enjoyed our time at the Hyatt Ziva, but we were excited to venture to the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall, another awesome adults-only property. This is a large resort that’s also attached to Iberostar Suites and Iberostar Beaches, which are both family resorts.

Our first reaction

A beautiful lobby welcomes you to the resort prior to you being taken to your room. The Rooms are large and butlers are available in certain room categories. With an upgrade, your personalized service includes a personal butler, special welcome at check-in with champagne and a cold towel; bed-sheet menu; mini-bar stocked with your favorite drinks; evening cocktail; newspaper delivery; shoeshine; pool and beach towels; sun products; and reading materials. If you’re looking for an all-inclusive with even more added luxury, this is definitely a worthwhile upgrade.

Beaches and pools…oh my!

Beaches and pools are beautiful with plenty of shade. At the Iberostar Suites there is even a lazy river!

The property has 89 Grand Suites with sea or garden views, 104 Grand Suites with direct beach access and 2 beautiful Presidential Suites, each equipped with king bed and luxury amenities.

There is a small casino that is shared by all of the resorts as well as a shop in this area.  There are also themed shows every evening in each of the resorts.

One thing that people either love or hate (we personally love it): Everyone must wear bracelets so kids can’t sneak onto the adults-only property.

Let’s feast

While at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall you can enjoy four specialty restaurants and two buffets. Taste a wide variety of international food, such as regional Jamaican recipes, Japanese tepanyaki, Italian cuisine, and gourmet fare, or you can relax with an informal lunch at the beach. My favorite lunch was at Horizons, where we feasted on crab legs, shrimp and caviar!

Overall

This is a sprawling all-inclusive beautiful resort with lots of culinary options.  Great for adults and families just make sure you stay on your side!
