Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort
Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort is described as “Old world British Colonial Charm in a Caribbean Setting”. The resort’s Georgian-style Great House hosts the gracious British traditions. The British feeling is only reinforced by daily afternoon tea.
If that’s not your cup of tea (sorry!), a unique feature to this property is “Sandal’s Island”, a secluded private island with an authentic and delicious Thai restaurant. Sandal’s Island is a short 2-minute boat ride from the resort to the private island. If that’s not spicy enough for you, the private island even has a secluded area for nude sun-bathing.
The Property
There are 210 rooms with 17 different room categories. Our favorite are the magnificent, swim-up crystal lagoon suites and suites with tranquility soaking tubs. These rooms are beautiful and special for any romantic getaway.
During our recent trip, my husband and I stayed in a butler suite with a tranquility tub in our suite as well as on the balcony. Yes– a tub in the room and a tub on the balcony! It was a special treat to relax on our balcony sipping champagne overlooking the quiet gardens below us. The tranquility tub is a must do for all couples. The showers in this room category are spacious with wonderful amenities!
The service
Club Sandals is their version of concierge service. Club Sandals Lounge and concierge is available from 8am-10pm, and also includes private check-in and out, weekly hosted activities (cocktail party, martini evening, & wine tasting), in room/suite and lounge bars, assorted teas and coffee available all day and room service from 7am010pm daily.
Butler Elite service is your personalized pampering service! The butlers are trained by the elite guild of professional English Butlers. The butlers will serve spectacular meals on your terrace, unpack and pack your luggage, and many other things that you desire. Butlers are there to WOW you and are the indulgence you deserve!
Dining
There are eight restaurants available at Sandals Royal Caribbean. Two of our favorites are Eleanor’s, a beautiful outdoor dining option that offers delicious food and impeccable service. The second is Bella Napoli Pizzeria which is situated conveniently on the beach and the smell alone will draw you off the sand and into the restaurant!
Overall
Sandals Royal Caribbean is only 10 minutes from the Sangster International Airport making this a perfect location for a destination wedding and or a short weekend getaway.
